2025 Ministry Volunteer Program (MVP) Workshop

We are pleased to announce that applications for the 2025 Ministry Volunteer Program (MVP) workshop will be accepted from March 28, 2025 to May 31, 2025. This year’s MVP will be held from July 13 to 18, 2025, at Baldwin Park Church in California. Please note, participants are expected to arrive no later than the evening of Saturday, July 12.

The MVP will again focus solely on completing ministry projects. We encourage youths seeking a spiritual cultivation-based seminar to attend SSC or NYTS.

We welcome working professionals and students who have the heart to serve to participate in this program. The program is open to all youths who have graduated from high school by July 2025 and older. Underage youths will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Full-time attendance is required. Any interested youths should apply at https://events.tjc.org by May 31, 2025.

The projects of this MVP are (please see the events.tjc.org website for project details and latest updates):

  1. Fellowship Games: Ministry volunteers will develop a new board game that began during last year’s MVP. The project already has a foundational idea and structure but will still have room for creative input. Since this project encompasses all parts of creating a board game, all skills and talents can be utilized to serve in this project, even if you were not in this group in any of the prior years.
  2. Ministry Training Videos: Participants will learn and apply various aspects of video production, including graphics, sound/music, and cinematography. They will use these skills to assist in the assembly of training videos aimed at equipping the next generation in various church ministries.
  3. Content Curation: As media play an increasingly integral role in today’s life, ministry volunteers are needed to help curate content for our various digital platforms to share and encourage one another with God’s word. Volunteers will learn how to create Facebook/Instagram posts and reels with materials from the eLibrary, generate descriptions and hashtags for our YouTube videos, and/or develop podcast episodes.
  4. Graphic/User Experience Design: Ministry volunteers will be exposed to the TJC identity guidelines, UI/UX design, and common design software (Canva/Photoshop/Illustrator or similar) used in media ministry. Volunteers will assist in ongoing design projects such as apps, flyers/posters, stock videos/photos, and calendars.

If you have any questions regarding this workshop, please contact the MVP coordinators at mvp@tjc.org. Applicants will be notified by June 10th of their acceptance. Please keep this event in your prayers.
