USGA Ministry Report

Thank God, from the 1960s until now, the ministry in the USA has flourished into 25 churches, 5 houses of prayer, and 3 places of worship. We have 11 preachers and about 4,000 believers.

The Evangelical Department consists of the evangelical team and the Spanish evangelical team. They hold Evangelical Training Workshops every two years, assist with hymnal outreaches in various regions, and collect various preaching resources. The Spanish evangelical team supports the work in Central and South America as well as the work of Spanish translation and preaching to the Spanish-speaking community in the United States.

The Pastoral Department consists of the Marriage Coordination & Counseling Committee, the Religious Education Working Team and the National Youth Ministry Committee. The Marriage Counseling Committee is responsible for planning a biennial Marriage Coordinator’s Workshop. The work of the marriage coordinators is to introduce youth to each other and to assist in premarital counseling. A revised version of the J1 RE textbook has been finished and can be used in the upcoming school year in September. The Youth Ministry Committee is responsible for national youth ministry training and campus fellowships. In May of this year, the East Region held a Young Adult Spiritual Convocation. The theme was, “Finding Peace in Chaos.” It was the first time a seminar was held entirely online because of the pandemic. Thank God, nearly 90 youth attended. In addition to participants from the East Region, there were youth from the Midwest, Canada, and even the UK.

In addition to the Theological Training Program, the Training Department also organizes Minister Workshop as well as theological events for youth and adults each year. Over the past few years, over a hundred participants attend these seminars each time. The National Youth Theological Seminar was also held online this year because of the pandemic. In addition to classes, there were also group discussions and online fellowship.

The USGA has invested many human resources in assisting IA in multimedia ministry. The value of this ministry has been highlighted especially in the absence of physical gatherings.

At present, the ministry in the United States has reached a turning point, as the early workers who came to the States are getting older. The church’s ministry is gradually being handed over to the youth who have grown up in the USA. Therefore, the church must be proactive in rooting the youth firmly in the truth and pass down the good spirit of service to the next generation.
